Laicee's
"Loving Memories"
( January 23, 2007 - May 8, 2007 )
Laicee was only beginning to see the world around her.
Her little hands just didn't have the power to hang on for another day.
And yet, with her little hands, she will hang on to our hearts, so that we will never forget;
her coos of happiness,
the radiance of her skin that shined so brightly,
and mostly, those cute dimples that were just starting to form on her cheeks from the smiles
she gaves each of us.
Let us remember how blessed we were to have that beautiful child,
(even for a short time) that smiled up at us, knowing that we
would do our very best to take care of and protect her.
We will miss her like no other, she was Lacy,
there shall not be another like her.
There never is an explaination, please do not become overwhelmed with
the "if only"s and "what if"s, for in time, no changes possible.
Try to concerntrate on the good memories.
Yes, she is missed so much and we are saddened by this loss.
Yet, will we not see some happiness in the fact that she came to us at all?
Just as she hangs on to your heart,
leave that special place in it open for the happy thoughts of her.
So that when we come to accept the loss of her,
she can crawl into our hearts and it will not allow it to be filled with the darkness from our grief.
Trust that she is being cared for and that the smiles and the dimples are still on her cute litte face.

Sorrow and grief lashed out on my heart
You were so young, and so perfect to me
Now you are gone, how can this be?
I’ll never forget your smile and how you’d always talk
Or the face you made when Daddy helped you walk
You liked to be hugged and you loved to get kissed
In our hearts you will truly be missed
Now you’re in heaven past the stars and by the moon
We will be united again, but not anytime soon
I want to thank you for all the joy you brought to me
You’ll always be my princess,
I love you Laicee.
